We are thrilled to announce that we have signed up for the SME Climate Pledge through the government backed SME Climate Hub, committing to reducing our carbon footprint by half by 2030 and achieving net zero by 2040, and report on our progress along the way. This pledge is part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, as we strive to do our part in combating climate change.
Climate change is a pressing issue that affects us all, and businesses have a crucial role to play in mitigating its impacts. By taking concrete steps to reduce our carbon footprint, we can not only help protect the planet for future generations but also create a more sustainable and resilient business model for ourselves.
As part of the pledge, we have developed a plan to understand our climate impact better and to reduce our carbon emissions. This includes more accurately calculating our emissions, sourcing renewable energy, using remote technologies and optimising travel among other areas.
We have already estimated our emissions for the last 5 years using The Business Carbon Calculator powered by Normative and drafted our first Carbon Emission Report.
In addition to reducing our carbon footprint, we are also committed to offsetting our remaining emissions through carbon offset projects. These projects not only help to mitigate our impact on the environment but also support important initiatives such as reforestation, renewable energy development, and sustainable agriculture.
We understand that achieving our climate goals will require dedication and collaboration. That’s why we are committed to regularly monitoring and reporting on our progress, holding ourselves accountable to our commitments and seeking ways to continuously improve.
