We are a team of professional executive coaches from successful senior executive and management consultancy backgrounds.

Collectively we bring experience from a broad spectrum of disciplines in public, private and not-for-profit sectors.

We have lived and worked with organisational cultures spanning five continents.

With leadership experience up to director level from blue-chip companies and public sector agencies, we bring empathy for the challenges faced by our clients, and understanding for the complexity of the environments in which they operate.

We are all professionally qualified and/or accredited coaches, and constantly seek challenge from one another, and continuous professional development through training and study.

Jan Bowen-Nielsen

Jan has 15 years senior management experience from blue-chip corporations in the UK, Denmark and USA and 9 years as an executive coach and management consultant. Jan has particular expertise in change leadership and building high performing leadership teams, both from executive and consultancy roles.

After a successful senior management career, where he got renowned for his ability to initiate and lead successful change programmes within large international companies, culminating in a CEO role where he implemented a turn-around of an international US-based organisation, Jan co-founded JBBI – a change leadership consultancy. As CEO of JBBI, Jan helped built this into a thriving consultancy with offices across the UK, Scandinavia and Germany, before leaving to set up Quiver Management.

Jan is a very experienced executive and business coach. Jan has over the last nine years coached a large number of senior executives in FTSE 100 companies as well as numerous business owners and entrepreneurs. Jan is on the Advisory Board of EMCC UK, the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and regularly speaks at industry events.

In addition to being a qualified Senior Practitioner in Coaching and Mentoring, Jan holds an MBA from Henley Management College and a BSc from the Danish Engineering Academy.

Karen Bowen-Nielsen

Karen brings extensive leadership experience from a wide variety of sectors and roles including general management, finance and marketing.

Karen has gained deep multi-cultural insight through working at senior management level for UK, Japanese, French, Australian and Danish blue-chip companies and public sector organisations – as well as living and working more than 9 years in continental Europe and North America.

After 9 years abroad Karen returned to the UK in 2002 to set-up Quiver Management together with Jan. Karen has been a consultant for more than 8 years and specialises in coaching senior managers, developing leadership teams and organisational assessment and development.

In addition to her coach/mentor qualification, Karen has a degree in Economics and is a Certified Master Management Personality Analysis user.

Graham Dixon

Graham brings over 25 years experience from senior leadership, programme management and consultancy roles in both public and private sector organisations. Previous experience includes board level directorships at NHS and several private companies as well as senior consultancy roles at blue-chip consultancies.

Graham has particular experience in large-scale technology implementation programmes including systems integration and starting up new IT functions to demanding time scales.

In addition to his coach and mentor qualifications, Graham has a Ph.D. from Edinburgh University and is a fellow of the Institute of Analysts and Programmers.

Arlene Ward

Arlene is a highly effective business change leader, and has specialised in organisational development and the people side of change management across a range of sectors. She has a strong track record of success in helping organisations and individuals in making successful change.

Working as a Consultant with a number of major organisations she has successfully delivered a range of business transformation programmes; drawing upon her senior management experience in the Financial Services sector. She has also worked in a number of leading Consultancy firms; with accountability for all aspects of relationships with key clients including: account planning, sales and delivery, commercial management, and achievement against sales and P&L targets.

Her passion now is working with clients to tap into their intuition around what is really important to them and what needs to happen for them to achieve their desired success. In addition to a Diploma in Performance Coaching, Arlene holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, and is also a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development.

Ned Skelton

Ned Skelton is a recognised expert in managing and evaluating training and development programmes both from senior HR roles in the nuclear industry and from consultancy roles, where he has helped organisations across a wide variety of sectors to deliver and demonstrate business results. Such is Ned’s reputation that he has been the training management representative for the UN and other Global organisations on inspections of power plants across three continents.

Ned has been coaching in business since 1995 and training managers in coaching skills since 1997. He is an EMCC Accredited Master Practitioner Coach and an assessor of EMCC’s accredited training providers as well as coaches seeking individual accreditation.

Ned is responsible for the development and delivery of Quiver Management’s Practitioner level mentoring and coaching training programme, as well as our coach supervision services.

In addition to being a Chartered Engineer Ned also has a Diploma in Management and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Steve Lobley

steve

Steve Lobley has had over 25 years in management and leadership. From a shop floor shift supervisor in a Lancashire textile mill to the MD of a global woollen business; he has developed leadership and management skills at the sharp end; implemented marketing and sales strategies; carried out strategic planning; led people through product design and innovation, and has planned and implemented significant organisational changes.

International experience with a large corporate textile company means he has travelled extensively, to the US and the Far East in particular, and has experienced a wide variety of business challenges.

With recent positions in companies serving, and delivering from, the public sector he has worked closely with numerous SME’s and larger businesses developing their strategy, growth plans and developing senior leadership teams using a variety of tools and methodologies.

A qualified coach and mentor he brings a wealth of experience to companies and senior teams.

Peter Milligan

peter

Peter has specialised in transforming the performance of business leaders and teams for almost 20 years. As well as working with senior executives, he has helped to accelerate the development of many younger managers towards becoming great business leaders.

In Australia, Peter qualified as an organisational psychologist and joined the management team of a leading HR consulting and recruitment firm. He was amongst the first in that country to develop and deliver executive coaching programmes for corporate clients.

After moving to the UK in 2000, Peter became a director of Europe’s largest and longest running executive coaching firm. Over a five year period, he contributed to the continuous improvement of coaching practices, providing professional supervision as well as designing and leading the induction / training programme for coaches joining the firm.

In 2005, he established New Generation Leaders in line with his commitment to transforming emerging leaders and he regularly writes and speaks on leadership, communication and career success.

Jon Harris

Jon has held key technical director and leadership roles in both public and private sector organisations, principally in the planning, transport, highways and built environment arenas. He also spent 2 years as a Director of Policy for a leading UK professional body, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.

Jon has particular expertise in supporting learning and development programmes within local authorities and private sector organisations, including talent and leadership development, skills assessment and the delivery of in-house team mentoring programmes. Ranging from technical mentoring through to more general coaching assignments, Jon has worked closely with middle/senior management and lead technical professionals to optimise their operations and team’s performance.

Jon is a qualified coach and mentor, and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
